Williams is out for 2 weeks

Deron Williams of the Utah Jazz will be out for at least 2 weeks with an ankle sprain. In my opinion this will not have huge impact on the Utah Jazz in the first two weeks of the season. I am always optimistic when one of the players on the Jazz gets injured early in the season because it gives bench players an opportunity to get some minutes, improve, and learn the system.

Trade rumors about Carlos Boozer continue. Several ESPN analysts have eluded to Carlos Boozer being traded to the Miami Heat. There is no one on the Miami Heat that would make sense in the trade except for perhaps rookie Michael Beasley and some change. I have never know the Jazz to make any blockbuster trades. We'll have to wait and see if it happens this year.

21 Days Until Tip Off!

Last season, it has been noted by many, was one of the greatest seasons ever. The competition in the West was as close as we have ever seen and the East is rapidly catching up witht he emergence of the Celtics again. This season should be even better with all top teams in the West keeping their core players and other Western teams making some valuable additions. Portland Trail Blazers finally get the chance to see Greg Oden in action, Andrew Bynum is healthy for the Lakers, and Houston added an edge with Ron Artest. In the East Miami should be back with Dwayne Wade healthy and Cleveland was able to add a much needed point guard in Mo Williams.

I'm preparing myself by signing up early for the NBA League Pass  with Dish Network. This will allow me to watch upwards of 40 games per week. I will be able to see games broadcast in other markets even though I live in Utah and can only pick up games on my local channels and regional sports channels like Fox Sports. However regardless of where you live you can see national games on ESPN, TNT, and ABC.

Mediocre Basketball Junkie

I wouldn't call myself an NBA expert but I'm not an amateur either. I will watch any NBA game that I can get on Dish Network TV. TNT Thursday nights are my favorite broadcasts to watch because it is a nationally televised game, plus the pregame, halftime, and post game analysts are great. Charles Barkley, Kenny "The Jet" Smith, and Ernie Johnson make for a great show http://www.nba.com/tntovertime/.

The Utah Jazz are my favorite team simply because I am from Utah. I can get some of the games on my local channels however the majority of the games are on Fox Sports Network. Dish Network carries Fox Sports on the Top 200 package or on the Sports Pack.
